"Shnitzel and the Lead Farfel" is the 28th episode of Season 1 of Chowder and the 28th episode of the series overall.
Plot[]
In this episode of Chowder, Shnitzel grows soft, as stated by Mung Daal. Chowder saw Shnitzel was very soft like a big marshmallow and bit Shnitzel but he didn’t taste like a marshmallow. To prove that Shnitzel is still strong, he lifts the Lead Farfel. Shnitzel doesn't need training to lift the Lead Farfel, but he became as soft as a marshmallow, so he had to train himself to revive his muscles to lift the Lead Farfel. Then he failed the Lead Farfel lift after slipping on Chowder's banana peels. After opening the jar by smashing it with his head, Shnitzel got his super strength back.
Trivia[]
- Kevin Michael Richarson (Shnitzel's voice in the pilot) returns as the Lead Farfel.
- Chowder thinks Shnitzel is going to die.
- This is more similar to the Chalkzone episode, Bulky Blocky where Blocky did some strength training in order to defeat a bully. Still, Blocky has the same behavior as Chowder.
- Several People have moved the lead farfel, a few of these are: Mung Daal, Endive, Gaspacho's mom, a baby, and Schnitzel.
- This episode refers to Star Wars, when Chowder imitates Yoda by saying "Silly, you are talking..."
- This is the first puppet credit sequence to not have Mung and Shnitzel's debut as a puppet, though he doesn't speak.
- Truffles' mother (making her Mung's mother-in-law) is mentioned in this episode -- according to Mung and his wife, Truffles' mother apparently has a rather large behind, with Mung going so far as to describe it as being even bigger than the buns of steel that Mung was making with Chowder and Shnitzel.
- The way that Mung and Truffles talk about the latter's mother also indicates that she's apparently still alive, despite how old Mung and Truffles.
