"The Puckerberry Overlords" is the 17th episode of Season 1 of Chowder and the 17th episode overall. It aired on January 18, 2008, and was narrated by Chowder's wisdom tooth.
Synopsis[]
A powerfully sour berry sends Chowder on a strange journey into his own mouth.
Plot[]
When Chowder eats an extremely sour puckerberry, he gets sucked into his mouth and he must defeat Sour Ron and his puckerberry overlords and save his taste buds.
During his absence, Mung Daal and Shnitzel desperately try to save Chowder with a String Bean tied to his tail. However, Choweder would eventually snap the string willingly, causing the portal to close, rendering their efforts pointless. The duo would try to compensate by crafting a Chowder from food, which does nothing to fill the void he left. Miraculously, Chowder would return through another pucker portal, and Mung Daal and Schnitzel would happily rejoice, only to suddenly recoil in disgust as it's heavily implied Chowder escaped via defecation.
This episode is narrated by Chowder's Wisdom tooth.

- This was the first episode to premiere in 2008.
- Chowder has a tattoo of the word "sweet" on his butt.
- This episode marks the first appearance of Chowder's wisdom tooth.
- The puckerberry book randomly has the word "stupid" at the bottom of one of the pages.
- This is the first episode where Chowder's underwear is revealed, although they are white in this episode. It wouldn't be until "At Your Service", until Chowder's underwear obtained its classic pink pattern.
- A person's wisdom tooth usually grows in between the ages of 17 and 25 years old. Chowder, who is significantly younger than the age range, has a wisdom tooth, This may be just a mistake on the writers' part however.
- The guitar chords in the sweet song are very similar to the guitar chords in Johnny Cash's song, "I Walk the Line."
- Chowder was dressed as a flapper.
- The Pucker Hole Chowder was sucked into when his body imploded with sourness has the same shape and animation as a portal in the short-lived series Out Of Jimmy's Head with the main difference being color palette.
